Introduction
This Sub ID Validity Check filter is designed to block clicks with invalid Sub IDs and can be applied to both clicks and conversions. You can configure what qualifies as a valid Sub ID through the filter settings.
Configuration Options
- Accept Numbers Only: Enable this option to restrict accepted Sub IDs to numerical values only.
- Minimum Length: Define the shortest number of characters a Sub ID must have to be considered valid.
- Maximum Length: Set the longest number of characters a Sub ID can have to be accepted.
- Maximum Unique Sub IDs: Specify the maximum number of distinct Sub IDs allowed. When this threshold is exceeded, the report will flag the issue with a “TOO_MANY_UNIQUE_SUB_ID” warning.
- Unified Sub ID: If clicks fail the Sub ID validation (due to exceeding the maximum unique Sub IDs), they will be redirected to the advertiser using a predefined unified Sub ID value set here.
Additional Notes
This filter is also applicable to conversions, ensuring consistent validation across both clicks and conversion events.
